Capitol Hill Remodel

This project involved remodeling a craftsman home on a historic street in the Capitol Hill neighborhood. The clients were expanding their family and wanted to ensure this home met their needs and capitalized on morning light. This project started during the pandemic, and the lead time for materials was challenging. The collaborative team of Okano Picard, the clients, Ainslie-Davis Construction, and Kirsten Conner Interior Design worked to ensure every aspect of the down-to-studs remodel exceeded the client's expectations. 

Expansion of the backyard-facing side of the house ensured light danced upon the complex and unique color palette of ochre, jadeite, burnt orange, raspberry, and peach. Foundation neutrals grounded the rooms. We added a media room to the basement and remodeled the kitchen to fit the family's cooking and entertaining needs.
